Shelton Rotary Adopt Huff 'n' Puff Trail as Part of Adopt-a-Park Program

Last month, the Shelton Rotary Club hosted its first community walk/jog and public outreach event at the Huff 'n' Puff Trail. The turnout was a great start toward our goal of increasing regular, positive trail utilization. Rotary members spent time cleaning up the memorial monument and surrounding area.

After their successful first event, the Shelton Rotary has officially adopted the Huff 'n' Puff Trail as part of our Adopt-a-Park program. They will now be completing regular cleanups around the trail and monument. We thank them for adopting this trail!

Are you interested in adopting a City park or trail? Parks and Recreation offer an Adopt-a-Park program to encourage community partnership in caring for our City's parks. This program is available for groups and individuals to volunteer their services at various parks, trails, and open spaces.

If you'd like to sign up or to receive additional information about the Adopt-a-Park program or upcoming volunteer opportunities, contact Recreation Coordinator Jordanne Krumpols at 360-432-5106 or jordanne.krumpols@sheltonwa.gov.
