Playground Installed at Shelton's New Northcliff Neighborhood Park

Thirty-four volunteers braved Saturday's inclement weather to help install a playground at Shelton's new Northcliff Neighborhood Park.

Volunteers worked for six hours on Saturday to install the new playground with the guidance of Parks and Recreation professional staff. The playground features a slide, climbing features, and a spinami.

Volunteers worked for a total of 145 hours on the installation project.

While the playground has been installed, it's not open just yet. Parks and Recreation staff will complete some maintenance and final work over the next few weeks, to open the playground for public use in early 2024.

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee and Northcliff neighborhood residents worked to develop the new 1.75-acre neighborhood park to serve the areas of Terrace Heights, Barnhard Street, Jones Street, and Northcliff Road.
