Civic Center Illuminated Green in November for "Operation Greenlight"

The Shelton Civic Center will be illuminated green in November as part of "Operation Greenlight." Operation Greenlight is an initiative to show our veterans they are seen, appreciated, and supported.

Operation Greenlight's goal is to support military veterans and raise awareness about the unique challenges faced by many veterans and the available resources to assist veterans and their families.

Residents and businesses are also encouraged to participate by displaying a green light in a window of their home or business, such as an exterior light that all can see or an interior light to spark a conversation.

This is the second year the City of Shelton has participated in Operation Greenlight. City Council proclaimed November 6-12 as "a time to salute and honor the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform transitioning from active service."
