The City of Shelton is looking for a Director of Financial Services. Reporting to the City Manager, the Finance Director is responsible for managing the Department of Financial Services, including all of the department's programs, projects, and activities to ensure compliance with GAAP, GASB, and BARS. The Finance Director also serves as the City Treasurer. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in municipal or other local government finance management, accounting, fiscal reporting, and budget development. Salary Range is $8,195.00 – 10,654.00 /month DOQ.
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field; five (5) years or more of public sector financial management related experience, including supervision; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that would provide the level of knowledge and ability required for the position.
