WE'RE ALMOST THERE!
Barring any unexpected rainstorms or crazy weather patterns, crews are well on their way to completing all final paving on the Downtown Connector Project (DCP) on Friday, June 21st. Once all final paving is complete, all streets in the DCP construction area will be reopened. Happy days! Roadway striping will be completed through the first week of July.

1ST & ALDER INTERSECTION IS OPEN
Traffic is moving through, or around rather, the new traffic circle at the 1st & Alder intersection!

OLYMPIC HIGHWAY NORTH CLOSED FOR FINAL PAVING
Olympic Highway North is now closed, and will be through Friday, June 21st from 7th Street to C Street while crews finish up with the final paving. Please use Northcliff Road as the primary detour route during the closure.

Due to roadway restrictions during construction, a temporary truck/oversized vehicle restriction has been implemented on Olympic Highway North and will last through the completion of the Downtown Connector Project later this summer. All vehicles with a wheelbase greater than 40’ are prohibited on Olympic Highway North between 7th Street and C Street. An alternate truck/oversized vehicle route has been established. (See the temporary truck/oversized vehicle route map below.) Signs will be on display marking the route. Vehicle restrictions will be enforced.

NORTHCLIFF ROAD IS OPEN

OPEN FOR BUSINESS
As a reminder, all businesses near the 1st & Alder intersection are open during construction. While it may take a little more effort to access the parking lot while crews are working on roadway improvements, our friends at Kobe Teriyaki, New Smile Denture Clinic, Northwest Clothing Company, Mickey’s Deli, Advanced Chiropractic Rehabilitation, City Center Motel, Subway, and Salon KSB would appreciate the continued support.
